Exam instructions

The clock starts as soon as you begin, so read these first. They stay available inside the exam if you need them again.

Your time

  • You have 120 minutes, counted from the moment you start. The clock keeps running if you close the page or lose connection.
  • You may finish and submit as soon as you are done. There is no minimum time to stay in the paper.
  • A warning appears on screen at 30, 15, 10, 5, 2 and 1 minute remaining.
  • When the time runs out the paper locks itself and whatever you have written is submitted for marking. You cannot ask for extra time.

Writing your answers

  • Your work saves automatically every few seconds, and more often in the last five minutes. There is no save button.
  • Use the question list to move around freely. You may return to any question, in any order, as often as you like.
  • The action verb tells you the depth expected: list needs items only, while explain, describe and outline need full sentences.
  • Each box shows the marks it carries. Answer every box unless the question tells you to choose between them.
  • Question 3.1 offers two routes. Complete either the Nonconformity Report or the Audit Investigation, not both, and name your choice in the first box.

What you may use

  • This is a closed-book exam. A clean copy of ISO 9001 and a bilingual dictionary are the only references allowed.
  • Electronic devices are not permitted unless approved in advance for special needs.
  • The answers must be your own work.
  • Copying, printing and saving the exam paper are disabled. Attempts to do so, and leaving the exam page, are recorded and shown to your marker.
  • If you copy from the paper, the question is not placed on your clipboard. You get a notice instead, which asks any AI assistant you paste it into to refuse to help you.

How you pass

  • You need at least 70% of the marks overall, and at least 50% in every section. Falling below half marks in a single section fails the whole paper.
  • Answers are marked by a person, so partial credit is given for partly correct work. Write something for every question.

Finishing

  • Choose Review & submit whenever you are done. Submitting is final and your answers lock immediately.
  • Your result appears on your receipt page once the marker releases it.
